Gas & Acidity? The Hidden Emotional Cause

Gas & Acidity? The Hidden Emotional Cause

In today’s world, there are many people suffering from bloating, gas, and acidity for months—maybe even years. People try every home remedy, doctor, diet, medication- but still, nothing seems to works long-term. We will see in this article what no doctor ever tells us—not because they don’t care, but because they don’t see what’s really happening inside you.

The problem is not just in your stomach. It’s deeper. It’s emotional, energetic, spiritual. It is in your mind. And yes, you created this. We should not blame anything or anyone. But the good news is, it can heal —easily.

The implementation of things discussed in this article can do what medicines couldn’t—go at the root of the problem and truly heal from the root.  We are not just going to talk about symptoms.  We are going to see why our body is reacting this way and what we unknowingly did wrong that made it worse. And once we realize that, healing becomes  easy.

By the end of this article, you will understand why your gas, bloating, and acidity never truly go away. And more importantly, you will know exactly what to do to release it—using simple changes in thought, and emotions. So read till the end.

We will break this article into different parts.

Part 1: What is the root cause?

Most people with bloating, gas, and acidity blame food, weather, stress at work, or even their family. But what is the hard truth? The root cause is you—your own emotional reactions, your thoughts, your patterns.

Let us break it down:

stressed man

#1: You resist life instead of accepting it.
You want everything to go your way. When things don’t go your way,  you feel irritated, tense, or victimized. And that resistance becomes tightness in your gut. Your digestion slows down. You clench emotionally and physically.

#2: You hold on to control.
You try to control people, situations, outcomes—even what others think about you. But life- people and situations don’t obey control. It results in frustration and frustration turns into acid in your body.

#3: You suppress instead of expressing.
You don’t say what you really feel. You bottle up anger, fear, and sadness because you were told to “stay calm” or “don’t make it worse.” But inside, your stomach is screaming. All that suppressed emotion is now trapped in your solar plexus chakra—your digestion center.

#4: You live in blame.
Maybe you blame your past, your parents, your job, your partner. But as long as you keep blaming, you stay stuck. Blame is a disease—it steals the power to heal.

#5: You forgot gratitude.
Every morning, you wake up and think about what’s wrong. Every night you sleep thinking about what’s missing or what has gone wrong. But what about what’s right? You forget your blessings. The lack of gratitude creates imbalance in your inner energy.

The stomach issues are not a random illness. They are feedback from your body, your soul—your suppressed emotions.

Part 2: The Science Behind Suppressed Emotions and Gut Health

Now, let’s understand what’s actually happening inside.

vagus-nerve (1)

Your gut is your second brain. It has over 100 million neurons and produces over 90% of serotonin—your happiness chemical.

When you suppress emotions, your nervous system gets stuck in survival mode—fight or flight. Your vagus nerve, which connects your brain and gut, gets disturbed. Your stomach stops producing enough enzymes and acids. Your gut bacteria shift into a state of imbalance, known as dysbiosis.

And the result? Gas, bloating, acidity, indigestion.

bloated man

Now, let’s see it spiritually. The Manipura Chakra (the solar plexus) becomes blocked.—This chakra governs the digestion, self esteem, will power and emotional power. And when it’s blocked, you feel powerless, you feel stuck, and lose your inner fire.

Part 3: Frequency of Emotions

Emotions have energy. Each emotion vibrates at a frequency:

  • Shame: 20 Hz
  • Guilt: 30 Hz
  • Fear: 100 Hz
  • Anger: 150 Hz
  • Love: 500 Hz
  • Gratitude: 540 Hz
  • Joy: 600+ Hz

Now, think—if you live in guilt, fear, and anger all day, your body vibrates most of the time in the low-frequency zone. That energy gets stored, especially in your stomach area. Your digestion cannot function well in low vibration.

So, the first step to heal is not diet—it’s raising your emotional frequency.

Part 4: How to Heal Deeply (Not Just Symptom Relief)

You don’t need another pill. You need a new mindset, new energy, a new emotional blueprint. And here’s how:

#1: Take Radical Self-Responsibility
Say this to yourself: (it’s your confession):
“I am responsible for how I think. feel and react. I created this pattern, and I can uncreate it.”

When you take ownership, you take power back.

#2: Practice Daily Gratitude
Every night, write down 10 things you are grateful for—even if it’s small. Gratitude shifts your body to healing mode.

#3: Let Go of Control
Say this affirmation to yourself:
“I trust the divine timing of life. I release what I cannot control.”

This dissolves resistance and activates the solar plexus chakra.

#4: Heal the Manipura Chakra (Solar Plexus Chakra)
Friends, let’s talk about the Manipura Chakra—your fire center, just above the navel. When it’s blocked by shame, anger, or the need to control, that fire doesn’t empower you—it burns you from within. That is when gas, bloating, and acidity begin.

But healing starts when you:

  • Stop resisting
  • Choose acceptance over control
  • Choose forgiveness over resentment
  • Choose confidence over fear

When you do that, the fire finally flows right, and the body begins to heal.

meditating man

Try this effective method daily to heal yourself:

  1. Sit quietly.
  2. Place your hands on your stomach.
  3. Say this:
“I am powerful. I trust. I let go.”

Believe me, your healing has started.

You can also chant the mantra “RAM” 108 times to awaken the fire of digestion.

Manipura-Chakra

#5: Speak Your Truth
Don’t suppress. Don’t explode. Learn to express calmly. Say what you feel in a loving tone. This clears the emotional blocks stuck in your gut.

#6: Eat Consciously, Think Peacefully
Let me tell you—no food will help you if your thoughts are toxic. Before meals, bless your food and say this:
“This food nourishes me with peace, joy, and energy.”

And you will find that your food reacts to your emotions.

Final Message

Here is the final message for you:

  • You are not a victim.
  • You are not broken.
  • You were simply unaware.

And now you know:

  • Your mind creates your stomach problems.
  • Your emotions digest your reality.

Yes, life is unfair. Yes, people hurt you. Yes, situations are tough. But look around—you still have breath. You still have food. You still have choices. You have so much to be grateful for.

And healing starts with that gratitude.

Don’t wait for perfect conditions—they may never come. Start healing from within.

So, if you’ve been living with gas, bloating, and acidity, it’s not your gut’s fault. It’s the emotional weight you’ve been carrying silently for years.

And today, you can begin to release it—one breath, one thought, one choice at a time.

Sant Tukaram abhang-8

Communication Skills- Self Assessment

The Art of Effective Communication: Why It Matters and How to Assess Your Skills

Introduction

Communication is the backbone of human interaction—whether in personal relationships, professional settings, or everyday conversations. Yet, many of us struggle with misunderstandings, missed cues, and unclear messaging. Strong communication skills can enhance relationships, boost career success, and even improve emotional intelligence.

To help you reflect on your own communication strengths and areas for improvement,  here is a 20-question self-assessment quiz (at the end of this article). But first, let’s explore why these skills matter and how they shape meaningful interactions.

Key Aspects of Effective Communication

1. Active Listening: The Foundation of Understanding

Active listening goes beyond just hearing words—it’s about fully engaging with the speaker to understand their message and emotions.

  • Listening without interrupting: Cutting someone off mid-sentence can make them feel dismissed. For example, instead of jumping in with your own story when a colleague shares a challenge, let them finish before responding.

  • Paraphrasing and asking clarifying questions: Rephrasing their point (“So, what you’re saying is…”) ensures accuracy. If a friend says, “I’m overwhelmed with work,” ask, “Do you mean the workload or the deadlines?” to pinpoint the issue.

  • Minimizing distractions: Put away your phone during conversations. A study found that even the presence of a phone can reduce connection quality (Journal of Social and Personal Relationships).

Why it matters: Miscommunication costs businesses $62.4 million annually (SHRM Report). Active listening prevents errors and builds trust.

2. Nonverbal Communication: Speaking Without Words

Over 55% of communication is nonverbal (Albert Mehrabian’s research). Your body language often speaks louder than words.

  • Eye contact and facial expressions: Avoiding eye contact can seem evasive, while nodding and smiling show engagement. In a job interview, steady (but not intense) eye contact conveys confidence.

  • Open posture and natural gestures: Crossed arms may signal defensiveness. Instead, lean slightly forward during negotiations to show interest.

  • Noticing others’ body language: If a team member keeps checking the clock during a meeting, they might be stressed—adjust by asking, “Should we revisit this later?”

Example: A manager who notices an employee slumping in their chair might privately ask, “Is everything okay?” instead of ignoring subtle distress signals.

3. Clarity & Adaptability: Tailoring Your Message

Clear communication eliminates confusion, while adaptability ensures your message resonates with diverse audiences.

  • Organizing thoughts before speaking: Use the PREP method (Point, Reason, Example, Point) for structure. For instance:

    • Point: “We need to delay the project.”

    • Reason: “The client requested new features.”

    • Example: “Similar changes in Project X took two extra weeks.”

    • Point: “Let’s revise the timeline.”

  • Avoiding jargon: Instead of saying, “We need to leverage synergies,” say, “Let’s combine our teams’ strengths.”

  • Adjusting tone and style: A CEO might use data-driven language with investors but simplify explanations for interns.

Case study: NASA’s “Jargon Index” reduced technical terms in reports after the 1999 Mars orbiter loss ($125 million) due to miscommunication.

4. Emotional Intelligence: Connecting on a Deeper Level

Emotionally intelligent communicators read the room and respond with empathy.

  • Considering others’ feelings: If an employee misses a deadline, say, “I know you’re juggling a lot—how can we prevent this next time?” instead of blaming.

  • Sensing discomfort: A pause or change in vocal pitch may signal hesitation. In sales, a client saying, “I’ll think about it” might need reassurance.

  • Providing clear examples: Analogies help—explaining a software bug as “a typo in a recipe that ruins the dish” makes it relatable.

Real-world impact: Doctors who use empathetic language see higher patient adherence to treatment (Annals of Internal Medicine).

Why Self-Assessment Matters

Even the best communicators have blind spots. Reflecting on these skills helps:
✅ Identify strengths to leverage in personal and professional life.
✅ Recognize areas for growth (e.g., interrupting, misreading cues).
✅ Build self-awareness to adapt in real-time conversations.

Ready to Test Your Skills? Take the Quiz!

Now that you understand the pillars of effective communication, it’s time to evaluate yourself. Our 20-question quiz covers listening, nonverbal cues, clarity, and emotional intelligence.

How it works:

  • For each statement, rate yourself honestly (e.g., “Almost Never,” “Sometimes,” “Rarely” etc.).

  • Review your results to see where you excel and where you can improve.

Final Thoughts

Great communicators aren’t born—they’re made through practice and reflection. By honing these skills, you’ll build stronger relationships, resolve conflicts with ease, and express yourself with confidence.

Pro tip: Share your quiz results in the comments and discuss which areas you’d like to work on!
